Battery Problems

I bought this DVD player and after 3 months (used it 2 times) the battery won't take a charge. I called customer service and they said it would cost $100 just to look at the unit. I refuse to pay $100 just to have the unit looked at. I will cut my losses and but a better brand. STAY AWAY FROM AUDIOVOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
