Didn't work at all

I ordered this unit on 11/29/05 for my daughter for Christmas. Received it the 1st week in Dec. Unfortunately, I left it in the box until Dec. 21st. I unpackaged it and wanted to make sure it worked before Christmas morning and guess what -- had power but would not read disk. Shipped it back the next day and went searching for a replacement. Purchased a Zenith at Best Buy. Works great so far! Lesson learned -- inspect product immediately after receiving!
