I bought this... and am very happy with it. Of course it is used primarily to keep kids content. My daughter was occupied for most of our trip to HI from VA,(which is a 10 hr. trip, if everything runs on time). The battery gave out half-way from CA to our destination. In other words we got 3 1/2 Disney movies out of it. The battery doesn't stay hooked up to the unit. But if you have a table or flat surface that is firm it's not a problem. Again we got it for it's convenience and entertainment value and it meets both.I think I should pick up a carrying case for it but my husband went to S.A. and found some unpadded case that holds all components and it works fine.
