Decent basic performance
    I originally bought this a year ago from an eBay seller because I needed a region-free portable player (easily accomplished with a hack from the remote). Since then it has played a wide variety of pressed and recordable media from around the world (except the bottom-feeder "TEON" DVD-R from Staples)..
