The sound quality is a little above average but with a decent pair of noise canceling headphones this is an excellent companion on long flights or for the kids on long road trips. 	Ultimately a great buy!!!! I just purchased a Pioneer LC-20 Portable DVD Player last week. I am very impressed with the quality of the screen. The picture is very crisp and clear.
