Good picture, weak speakers
The picture quality is pretty good. The problems I've had with it is that when you first put a DVD in, it can take it several minutes before it can read the disk. Sometimes, I have to turn it off and turn it on again just to make it work. The built in speakers are OK for a really really quiet env..

I bought this from circuit city for $279. You can't beat the size and price. I have tried other players -toshiba, audiovox, durabrand, philipps. 7" is just too small. it lacks a TV receiver. It is boring to watch kids DVD movies all the time with the kids. Sometimes, when I wish that I could watch TV with this Polaroid, yet it does not have that feature.

The LCD was remarkably bright and crisp even in daylight. Had no problem playing recordable DVD's.
