I ordered my Toshiba player from Crutchfield in November[The box came sealed in a heavy duty plastic box]Crutchfield does it right.Unpacked my player today and got it going,setup was easy[I have a Toshiba DVD player on one of my tv's.Picture looks fine.As someone mentioned I didn't seat the disk all the way and it wouldn't load.After I seated it properly,it loaded ok.Seems a bit noisy while loading,but didn't notice it after play start.Speaker volume is not much,but with headphones sound and volume are fine.Yes,it does seem to get a bit warm on the bottom,but compared to my Dell laptop it's downright cool.Case is attractive ,and as far as the disc lid goes,should be fine with a little care and no ham hand.After all it's a small electronic instrument.not your refrigerator or car door.4 stars,nothing is perfect GVC
