I exchanged the first player I received because there was a bright spot on the screen, as though some pixels were not displaying. Amazon exchanged it with no problem. The replacement seemed to work fine; however, our first time using it (other than the test sesssion) was on a trip. It began displaying "No disk" when it did have a disk inside. We had to keep punching the play button, and it would eventually come on, but it would start at the beginning, and we would have to skip to where we left off. When we got home, we tried it again, and after a time or two of doing the same thing, it played fine. Who knows what it will do in the future.
