Quit whining about "sound"

14 Mar, 00:00
I did some research on various portable DVD players and was really confused because so many of them kept mentioning bad sound quality. Well, get over it. Think about how you are going to be using the player. If it is for travel (public transportation) then you will most likely be using headphones. This model works GREAT with headphones...in fact, we actually had to turn DOWN the sound. This machine has DUAL headphone jacks. Handy. To listen in a car where the device is further away from your ears (i.e. mounted to the ceiling for the kids in the backseat), then get real. You will have difficulty hearing it (especially with windows down) if kids aren't perfectly quiet and no one else is having a conversation in the car. The picture is great. Features are nice, screen easy for two people to watch side by side...or a few more people if machine is place further away. The price was right too. I wanted higher quality from a name I trust WITHOUT the high price tag. Also, it has a very slim profile and is lightweight...perfect for shoving in our carry-on bag on the plane. In fact, we watched two movies in the airport (thanks to bad weather and delays) and the battery was still working. The battery does stick out the back a little, but we're only talking about an inch or two...I didn't find it annoying at all...when you are watching a movie you can't see it anyway... Happy portable DVD shopping and good luck!
