We're extermely happy with our purchase of the Toshiba sdp2000 portable dvd. If you plan on using this player in your car, make sure you purchase a "suspension theater" carrying case to hang the player between the seats. For long trips (longer than the battery life), buy a power inverter. It's much cheaper than a cigarette power adaptar. If you want to hear the dvd through the car speakers and you have a cassette player, use a CD car radio cassette player adaptar.The only minor drawback to this dvd player is you can't open the screen to 180 degrees or beyond
