Problem, disc is not turning

We have had our Zenith ZPA - 314 7" portable DVD player for 14 mos. and have not had any problems with it. However, it quit working this weekend. It has plenty of power. It seems not to recognize that a DVD is in the system , as the disc does not turn. Any suggestions?
